[PT 2] 10 Commandments for a Perfect Business

**NOTE: This is part 2 of a 3 piece series on how to build the perfect business for more profits and more freedom.  Watch for part 3 coming soon.

Are your work days longer than they should be?

Are you missing out on the best years of life with your family?

If you feel like you’re drowning in an ocean of overwork…

You’re not alone.

Many business owners suffer from this because there’s just so much to do.

But… the most successful ones do things different.

I’m about to give you the easy guidelines smart entrepreneurs use to stay ahead of their workload.

Follow these and you’ll get more done in a morning than most people do all week…

So you can finish your work days early, have more date nights, and spend plenty of quality time with your kids.

The other day I mentioned Commandments 1-3 … Let’s pick up there…

With 4 through 6 of the…

10 Commandments for a Perfect Business:

4. Have time ownership

Ever heard of “magic time”?

It’s the time of day where you’re 3X more productive, energetic, and creative than any other part of the day.

Using your magic time effectively is key to your success…

So you MUST protect it ruthlessly.

I used to work 6 am to 7 pm — stressed out and anxious all day long…

But then I discovered my magic time and it set me free.

Here’s how to find yours…

First, track your daily activities using a time journal throughout the day.

Second, use your tracking to identify the time of day where you’re most productive, energetic, and creative.

When I taught this technique to my client Shanda Sumpter…

…she was able to start working just 5 hours a day and spend more time with her son while still building her $10 Million a year business.

5. Get professional accountability

What do Olympic Gold medalists, NFL Super Bowl champions, and the winners of the World Cup have in common?

They ALL have a coach who provides professional accountability.

We’ve all had days where we know we should be writing that script or making that sales call…

But we don’t because we just don’t feel like it (and we screw around on social media instead).

80% of entrepreneurs DON’T have a coach.  80% of small businesses fail.

This is not a coincidence.

Coaches give expert advice to get you through troubled times and help you make more money…

But they also hold you accountable to doing what you must do to succeed.

When my client Frank Den Blanken hired me as his coach he was doing $10k / month which is ok…

But when he got the accountability, structure, and systems in place…

In less than 9 months he scaled his business to over $100k / month (and it’s still climbing).

Here’s how to find your ideal coach…

First, identify where you need the most help.

Is it with clarity, systems, structure, or skills?

Then identify where you need more accountability…

Maybe it’s with sticking to work, wake up times, work cutoff times, or even something else.

Second, look for a coach that offers support to achieve your specific goals.

Get the accountability from someone who’s been there and done that and achieved what you want to achieve.

6. Build your social support

I call this “making money with friends.”

Without a strong social circle you can end up feeling like an island in a lonely ocean.

You might even be surrounded by friends and family who don’t believe in or understand your big goals and vision.

But with a strong social network and support you’ll spend less time and energy dealing with negativity…

And you’ll make more money as a result.

Before I wrote my best-selling book The Perfect Day Formula, I was surrounded by people who wanted to drink and party all the time.

It dragged me down and led to anxiety attacks.

But when I overcame my introverted tendencies and grew my social circle of successful people…

Everything got easier and success became automatic.

Here’s how you can do the same…

First, identify an event or FB group in your industry you can attend or join… and get connected.

Second, start to add value to other people by leading with a giving hand.

This will earn support from the type of connections you need to grow…

And you’ll make friends that actually want to see you succeed and make money with you.

The bigger your network, the bigger your net worth.

Start following these next 3 Commandments…

And you’ll quickly create a perfect business that profits more while you work less.

To get you there even faster…
