I Hope Your Plans FAIL

Ok…

I know that subject line might sound a bit harsh.  But I’m serious.  And here’s why…

In his book, How Will You Measure Your Life, Harvard Business Professor Clayton Christenson shared something interesting…

“93% of all SUCCESSFUL businesses had to abandon their original plan.”

For example…

Amazon started as a bookstore….

… But now makes most of its money with cloud storage.  Uber was originally a Black Limo ride hailing company…

… Now most of its revenue comes from delivering food.  And believe it or not, Nokia started as a pulp-and-paper company…

… Yet today they’ve become one of the world’s largest cell phone makers.  So what does this have to do with YOU?

Am I saying you shouldn’t stay focused or that “Shiny Object Syndrome” is suddenly a virtue simply because Amazon isn’t a bookstore anymore?

Not at all…

What I’m saying is this.

When you do commit to one course of action and go ALL IN on it… you’ll learn things.

You’ll discover new strengths and new opportunities that you’re even better suited for — with greater potential to scale.  And you’ll find new and better ways of achieving your goals and living your life vision.  Adapting and evolving doesn’t mean giving up when things get hard…

It means that you’re CONSTANTLY running experiments, taking measured risks, and trying new ways of doing things (even if they seem guaranteed to fail).

When you look at your business…

How many “experiments” are you running each day?

How many split-tests, new FB ads, new ways to market your current program, new iterations of your current program, etc.?

Here are just a few of the dozens of experiments I’m running in my business…

I guarantee there’s at least 2 or 3 here that you can take and start using immediately to find new growth and success…

– 3 new IG blunt posts per week with different angles that sell the same coaching (We hit a GRAND SLAM with our recent “how to get rich after 35” promo — you can check it out here)

– 7 new FB ads per week for our Morning Routine course

– Two different VSL’s for our coaching program

– 7 emails per week to our lists – split-tested with 3-4 different subject lines per email

– A daily IG poll with a different question to see if we can find a “hot topic”

– 50 daily reach-outs on IG with new “offers”

– Split-testing our sales pitch on our sales calls

– A new product offer

– Market research about the next product to sell

– And radically experimenting with my new Winning Streak app to see if I can replace phone coaching with a “future technology”

Listen, here’s the deal…

If you aren’t experimenting and ‘disrupting’ yourself, someone else will come along and do that for you.  Don’t give away your power.  Start testing today!
