Every 6 And 7_Figure Earner I Know Does THIS

I mentioned yesterday that I’ve been reading an awesome book called “Richer, Wiser, Happier”.

Basically it’s a book about investing.  However it doesn’t go into a lot of tactics about investing.  What it really is, is a book about how the greatest investors of our time THINK.  Which is super valuable.  Cause if you can start to think like people who are more successful than you, then you’re likely to become more successful.  Anyways…

I want to share one of the insights that continues to come up over and over again in the book.  Because not only will this insight help you with investing…

It’s 100% applicable to you as a marketer.  When you hear this insight, you might want to ignore it (because it’s quite simple)…

But I can assure you, it is incredibly powerful when it comes to making you some moolah.  So here it is…

Get really good at saying “no”.

Warren Buffet says one of the keys to his success is that he constantly says “no”.  He says “no” to companies that have great potential, but don’t fit his area of expertise.  He says no to to companies that he loves, but the timing isn’t quite right.  Hell, he even says no to pretty much everyone who wants to schedule a meeting with him (Buffet likes to keep his calendar wide open).  Like I said, this ability to say “no” runs rampant among all of these super smart investors.

Get good at sayingWhy?

Because they have thousands of opportunities coming their way.

More than they could ever look at.

So in order to stay focused on what they’re good at, they have to say “no” a lot.

Now, what does this have to do with you as a marketer?

Or as a copywriter?

Everything really.  Because the best thing you can do for yourself is to stay focused on one thing.

Maybe that’s getting really good at email copy…

Maybe it’s scaling an offer on Youtube…

Whatever your specialty is, that’s where your focus should be.  And to do that…

It means saying “no” to everything else.  Cause here’s the deal…

You can only do so many things.  And the reality is that you’ll get the best results when you focus on the ONE thing that really moves the needle for you.  So my advice?

Block everything else out…

Say “no” to every new thing that comes your way.  And just focus on executing the ONE big needle mover for yourself.  This is an idea that took me a long time to learn…

But once I learned it (and embraced it)…

I started making a whole lot more dough.  And you can do the same by simply saying “no” more often.

Make sense?

I hope so.  Cause that’s all I got for you today.

Enjoy your Wednesday,
